Bonjour! We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at your lovely cafe last week. I am still thinking of that delicious mustard vinaigrette on Le Croque Fermier. The salad was so fresh and full of flavor! I've already recommended L'Oisive The to several friends heading to Paris soon, and I can't wait to come back and visit!
A bientot,
Monique & Tim (a/k/a Cookies To Go - which were divine, by the way!)

Hi, Your shop looks absolutely lovely. We'll be in Paris the end of May and though we have never been in the 13th, we are definetly going to visit your shop. My wife Maggie is an absolute tea lover and she is going to love your shop. We're from Florida. I'm American and Maggie is German. We'll be in Paris for 6 days only as we must visit friends and family in Germany, but it's been 9 long years since we've been in Paris and we are getting more anxious by the moment.
Look forward to seeing you and visiting your shop as well as the 13th.
Ciao,
John & Maggie

My friends, Jennifer and Philippe Poirier, own the Residence Les Gobelins Hotel at 9 rue des Gobelins in the 13th. Jennifer told me about a blog site that mentioned their hotel (materfamiliasknits.blogspot.com) and your knitting cafe. I just came back from a week at the hotel and I'm sorry to say I missed out on visiting your shop. It looks very inviting and the menu sounds delicious. Being an avid knitter and a lover of all things French, I will definitely be visiting on my next trip. I live in Chicago and there are several fine yarn shops but, sadly, none of them have the inviting atmosphere of yours.

In response to Andrew and Samantha, I would like to say that you haven't seen Paris if you haven't visited the wonderful areas in the 13th (especially the Mouffetard marketplace). For me it's an area where one can see and experience more of the everyday lives of Parisians and less of the tourists. The Residence Les Gobelins Hotel is in the budget category, but in my opinion it's **** in every other respect. Wonderful, warm people who own it, extremely clean and charming and very central to getting anywhere else in Paris one might like to visit.

Like Bob, I wonder how you started your business in Paris ... as an American. From the Paris Daily Photo blog I learned that you are married to a Frenchman. I assume that helped. But would love to know more ... Like many, I dream of living and starting a business in Europe. But not in tea. So don't worry, we wouldn't be rivals!

Your tea room looks great, we've just come back from nine lovely days in Paris (March 30th-April 8th), but didn't know about it. We're back for a week in early/mid July & will definitely visit you then.

Actually, we don't know the 13th at all, although we come to Paris three times a year, we always stay in the 8th, and think we're adventurous to visit the 16th (Passy, amazing chinese food at Mandarin Passy), 3rd (Rue de Rossiers, incredible falafel) & 4th (the Etam store near the Hotel D'ville which has a surprisingly good cafe on the top floor, with good views, wifi & ok tea).

Our expedition this time was to go beyond the Bastille, into the 11th, for Thai brunch at the Blue Elephant (which was amazingly identical to the Sunday brunch at the Blue Elephant in Fulham, London).

We're from Southern England, but live in Mallorca. Paris is (apart from London of course, got to be loyal/patriotic) our favourite city.

Best of luck with your new business, see you in 88 days or so (not that I've got a countdown ticking away on my desktop, for when we're next in Paris; or anything!)
